Your Job
We’re looking for Operator within the site manufacturing team member (MTM) structure. The jobholder will be responsible for ensuring his/her work is carried out safely and in adherence to the appropriate procedures. you will be responsible for communicating with your team leader and training mentor/coach ensuring appropriate issues are escalated and training gaps and needs are appropriately identified and met.

  • Ideally previous work experience & knowledge in a manufacturing environment.
  • Ideally, will have a basic understanding of paper/coform technology or general manufacturing processes.
  • Will be self-motivated and conscientious to detail in the work they carry out.
  • Will have good numeracy and verbal skills and have a good standard of communication.
  • Will be interested in self-development and willingness to invest their own personal time in further study.
  • Will be organised – ensuring their work area is maintained to a high standard and will have a problem-solving approach to work seeking to improve wherever possible.
Job Description:
This role is for Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Adheres to all safety policies and principles – and has a level of competence to the SOP standard in defined area.
  • Identifies hazards in own area and seeks to resolve with support.
  • Carries out operations within a production section - understanding the impact of that process on other areas.
  • Identifies quality issues within own area and escalates where applicable.
  • Carries out defined work under instruction.
  • Resolves problems within own work area.

What You’ll Need
  • We work in a culture of continuous improvement so having experience of LEAN methodologies and conventional plant operations will be needed.
  • If you have prior experience of working within the paper, FMCG or chemical industries (or other regulated industries) – then great! If not, here’s where you will be able to gain a wealth of experience in our industry.
  • You’ll also be able to demonstrate your experience in an ever-changing technical environment.
