Job description
Imperial Personnel are recruiting for a Laser Press Break Operator to join out client in Sutton-In-Ashfield on a temporary to permanent basis.
As a Laser and Press Brake Operator will utilise various machines to bend, shape, cut and manipulate metal to specification.
Hours and Pay:
Rotating Days, afters and nights.
(6am – 2pm, 2pm -10pm and 10pm - 6am)
£14.89ph
Responsibilities:
· To operate brake press and laser according to specifications and safety standards.
· Perform set up of machines. Loading and unloading, emptying scrap metal, organisation of area.
· Establish proper stop location and adjust laser beam focal point.
· Make proper set ups for cutting operations.
· Perform prescribed maintenance tasks as required and all dimensional inspections.
· To detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to supervisor.
· Report and act upon any health and safety concerns.
Requirements:
· 1 year of manufacturing experience.
· 1 year of laser operator experience.
· Ability to work to deadlines and as part of a team.
· Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
· Ability to read and understand mechanical engineering drawings, ability to read and use inspection equipment such as Bore Mics/ external Mics/Digital callipers/ Height gauge.
