Job Description – Machine Operator

Role description:

As a Machine Operator you will operate equipment at our commercial site in Cambridge.

You will be energetic and detail-oriented, willing to learn and develop. If you are able to perform these tasks, we want to make you part of our team.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operate dyeing and finishing equipment
  • Weighing chemicals, transferring fermentation liquors
  • Maintain quality to customer specifications
  • Contribute to a clean environment
  • Maintain regular, punctual attendance and behaviour in a respectful and professional manner
  • Maintain work areas and equipment
  • Maintaining stock levels in the pilot plant

Role Requirements:

  • Manual handling with use of pallet truck
  • Safely lift to 25kg
  • Understand basic maths and measuring skills
  • GCSE level of education

Desirable skills and experience

● Previous experience working in a team

● Experience in record keeping and logging of work in a timely manner.

● Experience in working in multi-disciplinary teams.

Title: Machine Operator

Reports to: Dyehouse Manager

Location: 9 Nuffield Road, Cambridge, CB4 1TF

Remuneration: £23,000-25,000

Holidays: 25 + BH + Birthday
