Clearabee is the UK’s largest bulky waste logistics company. We complete over 1,000 collections every day using an in-house fleet of over 170 vehicles. We employ over 300 staff. We have also just completed commissioning on our first Recycling Facility. We operate one of the most modern and cleanest sites in the country with best in class wash and break out facilities.
We are recruiting a machine operator to work in our newly permitted Birmingham (Aston) recycling facility. As a machine operator you will spend most of your day using a variety of machines including materials handlers and telehandlers to safely and efficiently load items into our recycling line.
Experience isn’t required as we can provide on site training which will lead to certification although experience is preferred. An experienced candidate will start at the higher range available. Career growth is available to the right candidate.
Health and safety is very important to us. You must be capable of always following our site rules and the training provided and contribute to new policies.
We are a 6 day operation and you will work 5 days per week on average. This means you will need to work one in two Saturday’s in most cases.
Roles & Responsibilities
- Operating a materials handler, loading shovel or telehandler independently
- Some forklift work and even general / manual loading if machines are down for any reason
- Completing start and end of day checks
- Participating in daily clean down at the end of each shift
- Maintaining health and safety standards across the site
Salary
- £24,000 - £30,000 per year based off experience
- Company pension scheme
- 28 Days Annual Holiday
- 45 hours per week (plus 1 hour break).
- Typical start time of 6am or 7am
- Some Saturday working (max 1 in 2)
- Some bank holiday working required on rotation
- Monthly pay but advance pay is available on our HR system for when required
