Bindon Engineering, is a privately owned business established in 1965 with over 50 years experience, predominately in the oil, gas and nuclear sectors.
In 2009 it moved to it’s current location in Holton Heath, to a modern 36,000 sq ft factory on a 3½ acre site, to provide a much increased production capacity, currently employing over 50 employees, working round the clock, both day and night.
Bindon Engineering works very closely with their customers to deliver the best possible service, committed to quality, and is the foundation to their long-term success. We aim to meet the highest possible standards and have adopted ISO 9001 quality management system in the pursuit of this goal.
Bindon is currently seeking a CNC Machine Operator.
Your main responsibilities will involve;
- Reading & interpreting engineering drawings
- Following work instruction sheets to aid operating
- Operating a range of Doosan Lynx & Puma machines
- Using Fanuc Operating Systems
- Producing parts to ISO9001 Standard
- Tip/Cutter change
- Offset Adjustments
- Tolerance Control
- Using Inspection equipment to check work
- 5S and maintaining a good standard of housekeeping
- Adhering to Health & Safety
Your skills and qualifications as a CNC Machine Operator;
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship in mechanical engineering is advantageous but not required.
- Experience of CNC machining is advantageous.
- Able to use Fanuc Operating System (Offset Alterations/Tool Setting), in-house training can be provided.
What we are looking for in you;
Adept with FANUC Controls is advantageous, however, in-house training can be provided for the right candidate who is willing to learn and apply themselves to understand and adapt to new challenges. Solid experience in the engineering manufacturing industry again is advantageous but not necessary, we have trained non-time served candidates to become good, confident CNC operators, some of which progressed further into CNC Setting.
The ideal candidates would be self-motivated, who can also work proactively as part of a team with a ‘can do’ attitude, working on your own initiative and willing to learn and retain new skills.
