Cavaghan & Gray, part of 2 Sisters Food Group are actively seeking to recruit an enthusiastic, competent individual for the role of Machine Setter to join our team based in Carlisle.
We produce a huge range of chilled food products for some of the major retailers - it is a fast-paced environment, where things can change very quickly, and no two days are ever the same.
This role is a great opportunity for somebody who is looking for a role focused on growth and development. You will be responsible for operating and maintaining various machines, ensuring the highest level of quality and efficiency is delivered within our manufacturing processes.
As a Machine Setter you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring that pre-start checks and shutdown procedures are carried out to ensure quality of product and safety of operators
- Setting up and operation of various production machinery
- Monitoring all work in progress and finished product to ensure it matches production standards
- Basic fault finding / resolution then escalation to engineering as required
- Basic maintenance of tooling and process equipment
- Examining and discarding defective goods and packaging components
- Maintaining records regarding the total measure of goods completed per day
- Following all safety procedures and regulations and report any unsafe conditions or incidents to management

Working hours:
- Monday-Thursday 21.30-5.30, Friday 19.30-02.30
