£26,737.15 per annum, working any 5 from 6 days, operation works Monday to Saturday with 25 days holiday, plus bank holidays!
Responsibility to staff and direct team
- Drive continuous improvement relating to legal compliance for the depot.
- Ensure both drivers and fleet are legally compliant.
- Be audit ready; ensure Green audits for the depot.
- Manage the PMI and repairs across the Fleet to minimise downtime.
- Manage and challenge costs effectively to drive in cost savings.
- Maintain responsibility for ensuring compliance with related legal/statutory regulations, professional duties and obligations.
- Proactively manage any tachograph infringements and undertake coaching / retraining where required.
Day to day duties
- Support the Transport teams to deliver continuous improvement and development for drivers in areas of safe and economic driving, driving legislation and operational specific requirements.
- To be involved in risk assessments where necessary and ensure all training is carried out for specific vehicles / activities involved within the role of driver.
- To maintain the company image following Company procedures.
- To aid with investigations and incidents that occur when on the road, or at depot. Assist with any necessary disciplinary hearings relating to non conformance with company policy and legal legislation.
- Ensure that all drivers comply with EU regulations and RTD Hours legislation and all road traffic regulations, documented coaching following tachograph infringements.
- Comply with Health and Safety regulations.
- Undertake such duties as may be reasonably required for the effective operation at the depot.
- Ensure that the fleet remains legally compliant and within the boundaries of the Operator’s licence.
- Ensure all legal documentation is correct and current.
- Challenge costs received from Third party maintenance suppliers.
- Liaise with maintenance suppliers to ensure fast and effective service levels.

- Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal, in order to build relationships both inside and outside of the Network.
