There are two part time vacancies available for this role at 0.6 FTE or 0.8 FTE


Salary from £50,606 to £58,505 (pro rata) pa inclusive with potential to progress to £65,157 pa inclusive of London allowance.


The London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE) is one of the foremost social science universities in the world, with a global reach and an international student intake. LSE Student Wellbeing Service is recruiting two Student Counsellors to undertake individual counselling and training with staff and students in our multi-disciplinary service.

We are looking for candidates who can bring expertise to the role, working independently to manage their caseload whilst being an engaged team member. Candidates will have significant experience of providing short-term counselling and be skilled in working with a range of clients from diverse backgrounds, as well as with a variety of presenting issues.

Candidates must hold BACP Accreditation, UKCP Registration, or equivalent registration with HPC/ BABCP/ BPS/ BPC as a Counsellor/ Psychotherapist/ Counselling Psychologist. Applicants who do not meet the requirements for professional accreditation/registration will not be considered for this post. Please note that candidates with BACP Membership (as opposed to Accreditation) cannot be considered for this role.

The post holder must be able to work on a Thursday, plus two or three additional weekdays.
