The Exciting Role
A fantastic opportunity has become available for an LRC Officer (Library Assistant) to join our Learning Resource Centre team. This is a full-time position working 37 hours per week, on a permanent basis, term time only. Based at the Accrington and Rossendale College Campus, the successful candidate would also be expected to work at the Nelson and Colne College LRC. The salary for the role is up to £20,158.19 per annum, pro rata depending upon experience/qualifications
What You Will Be Doing
- To assistant and support the LRC Team Leader and the Careers, Student Services and LRC Manager in the delivery of the LRC service
- To provide support, advice and guidance to staff and students using all aspects of LRC resources including print and e-resources, ICT equipment, printers and copiers
- To carry out a range of library desk duties including issuing/discharging/renewing items, the provision of a staff/student enquiry service and the effective use of a range of electronic library management systems in accordance with GDPR regulations
- Assisting with the management of student behaviour in the LRC facilities
What We Are Looking For:
- Level 2 (or equivalent) qualification in Maths/English
- Experience of working in a customer service role
- A recognised library qualification or working towards it (desirable)
