Loneliness Companion: No experience necessary, full training provided in Portsmouth.

Hours per week: Flexible 2-3 evenings or more (plus every other weekend).

Location: Southsea, Hilsea, Portchester, Cosham, North End, Waterlooville.

Hourly Rate: £12.60 per hour minimum + £0.35 mileage (£13.30 during the weekends - enhanced rates during bank holidays).

OK, but what do you need FROM me?

Our clients lead busy lives and place a great deal of trust in us to take care of their loved ones. For these reasons and as you would expect, it is important to us that each member of our team is:

Honest

Caring

Reliable

In addition to the above, we require our team to:

Must have a full UK driving licence (or equivalent)

Must have access to your own vehicle

Be able to work alternate weekends

Live in Portsmouth

Be prepared to go through our 3-day induction training(09.00 am to 04.00 pm) at our local office

Have a right to work in the UK - we can only accept applications from within the UK.

I like what I've read, but what tasks will I do?

Our clients depend on our team of dedicated loneliness companions to help and support them with the activities of daily living in their own homes. Typical tasks include:

Companionship (hobbies, trips out etc)

Medication assistance

Assisting clients living with Dementia

Personal care (assistance on shower, toilet, changing dress)

Light housekeeping

Meal preparation

Shopping
