Job description
S2 Events is a show production, set construction, design and hire company specialising in liveevents. Located in South-East London in Woolwich, we’ve got over 40,000 square feet of warehouse space for construction workshop, storage of props and sets, paint shop, lighting, hire department and production.
We are on the hunt for a driven and enthusiastic Logistics supervisor.
Applicants MUST be able to get to 141-143 Nathan way, SE28 0AB everyday.
The closest tube is Woolwich on the Elizabeth line and closest train station is Plumstead. Both are around a 30min walk, or bus 301 stops outside.
Job requirements
Applicants need to live close by or able to get in easily via public transport
Must be physically fit and able to do heavy lifting
Able to work as part of a large team as well as being able to lead a small team
Good organisation skills and able to work to tight deadlines
Be able to accurately follow instructions , written or verbal
Diligent and a good eye for detail
Common sense , hardworking and willing to work overtime and weekends.
Applicants should be confident they will be able to learn quickly as there will be a number of procedures that will need to be understood and adhered to in order to fulfil the role adequately
Possession of a Counter balance forklift licence would be a bonus.
Job description
Job will involve pulling and prepping of hire items and loading onto trucks and vans accordingly.
Checking in and out all hire stock
Taking deliveries of material and props and ensuring they get distributed to the correct depts.
Wrapping and protecting set items then checking against a load list and ensuring the whole job is complete before loading onto a truck
Scrapping of materials after the jobs have finished
Basic building maintenance and keeping the warehouse tidy and safe.
Supervising general labourers in day to day tasks
