Job description
Due to continued growth, our Logistics client are looking to recruit a Logistics Supervisor based on site to manage the day-to-day activities for our logistics team and meet the needs of the project. This role requires sound judgement and experience within Logistics working closely with our lifting and traffic personnel to ensure deliveries and materials are loaded / unloaded in compliance with site and company safety regulations.
This role is essential in maintaining a smooth and seamless Logistics team assisting with both horizontal and vertical logistic movements across the works. We are looking for an experienced Logistics Supervisor to join our growing team working within our world class logistics team and able to offer an immediate start.
Salary / Hourly Rate
We can offer an excellent rate of pay ranging from £18-19.50 p/h depending upon experience.
Working Hours 7/7:30am - 6pm Mon to Friday plus Saturday 8am - 1pm
Ideal experience
The Logistics Supervisor will carry out the following duties;
- Oversee and manage the movement of people, goods & deliveries, and equipment for the project site,
- Briefing and planning resourcing for the site Logistics Team
- Supporting the Logistics Manager for the works
- Experience of working in a busy logistics environment ideally within the construction sector
- Ensuring deliveries to the project complies with the established traffic management and logistic plan.
- Carrying out scheduled safety inspections and audits.
- SSSTS, CSCS card, First Aid and a good level of I.T skills would be advantageou
