In Sainsbury’s Tech we build the technology which powers the UK’s number 1 multi-channel, multi-brand retailer.
As a Logistics & Stock Lead, your key responsibilities would include:
- Managing hardware purchases on behalf of Installation Services.
- Working with the Stock and Logistics co-ordinator, ensuring hardware is in stock for all programmes and schemes
- Working with the PMO team on planning opex and capex spend.
- Supporting the Installation Services Managers in supplying hardware and devices for Installs and Deployments.
- Providing the Planning and Logistics Manager with up to date period reports for both Stock purchases and Financial reporting, working with the Portfolio team
What I need to do
- Raise Hardware for respective deployments and Installs.
- Manage stock orders to PD limits on behalf of Installation Services
- Work with Portfolio team in all aspects of finance, reporting back to the Planning and Logistics Manager.
- Responsible for the support of building, maintaining and controlling of both Capex and Opex budgets for Installation Services in conjunction with the Portfolio team.
- Manage any queries from Tech procurement, Tech Finance and central finance departments to a satisfactory closure.
- Proactively run period reports to ensure all data and deliverable in line with the Portfolio and Planning and Logistics Manager requirements
- Engage third parties for outstanding billing raise order and monitor and track all orders
- Liaise with third party providers for goods and services.
- Ensure the receipt of goods and services is confirmed in a timely way.
- Responsible for the maintenance of all hard and electronic copies of requests for orders, order cancellations and order receipting are filed logically for a minimum of 2 years.
- Proactively checks engineering timesheets to ensure we are in line with the working time guidelines.
- Flexible approach to undertaking additional and ad hoc tasks regularly and efficiently as required
- Manage the updating of fiancé trackers and MI data for and with the PMO
- Continually drives improvements in reporting fiancé updates
- Drives cost efficiencies within budgets in line with divisional and department need with suppliers.
How I will succeed
- Hardware and services ordered in a timely way to ensure available when required for investment programme work.
- Accurate finance reports are collated and distributed for stakeholder engagement both internal and external to Tech in line with the PMO.
- Cancelled orders are managed to ensure no excess services or stock are delivered.
- Delivery of PD budgets spend in line with divisional requests.
- Effective working relationships in place with all internal and external customers.
What I need to know
- Good commercial and financial awareness
- Excellent organisation, analytical and record keeping skills.

- Experience if managing third party relationships.
- Excellent interpersonal written and verbal communication skills at all levels
- Proficient in Microsoft office product in particular Microsoft excel
