Our Bakkavor business in Bo’ness, based near Falkirk, specialises in the production of fresh, high quality salad products working primarily with premium retailers.
To give you a sense for the scale of manufacturing in Bo’ness we produce over 70million salad based meals and side dishes from our 2 manufacturing facilities employing over 1200 people in the town.
The Role
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Stock Controller to join our vibrant and expanding team at Bakkavor Bo’ness.
You will get autonomy to manage your area, working in a small team that is key to company success. We offer great development and career progression.
Your responsibilities:
- Provide accurate forecasts to suppliers as reviewed and agreed with the Purchasing Team and the Demand Planner.
- Ensure that 100% Customer service level is maintained at minimal cost. Ensuring customer service levels are met internally (to warehouse).
- Discuss with suppliers and internal departments any issues regarding stock items, resolving problems with quality, delivery times or shortages to a satisfactory conclusion, flagging unresolved issues to the Purchasing Manager and the Planning Manager.
- Determine inventory levels and replenishment rules to minimise out of life disposals of raw material. This to be achieved by balancing the most efficient delivery cycles with the optimum volumes.
- Co-ordinate the de-listing of potential obsolete materials avoiding or minimising any obsolete stocks or stock disposals.
- Manage all replenishment KPI’s providing a weekly summary.
- Work with Suppliers and the Purchasing Team to challenge Lead Times and Minimum Order Quantities
The person
- Confident / IT literature user of Microsoft Excel and Outlook
- Strong analytical skills
- Good communication skills and people person as the role involves interacting with suppliers and clients
- Organised and good time management
- Strong Administration skills
- Ability to work on own initiative as well as a team player.
