An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Logistics Operative to join the Submarines Logistics team performing physical logistics tasks and associated system transactions supporting this Defence Operation.

Successful candidates will be based in or around the Derby area, working within 1 of the Submarines Logistics Operations Facilities.

What you will be doing:

As a Logistics team member your key accountabilities will include:

  • To operate within the defined logistics and production processes being accountable for implementing improvement activities as directed by the Logistics lead.
  • Ensures data input into business systems meets quality standards as set by business requirements
  • Responsible to ensure all system moves and accounting (SAP) are completed and accurately represented physically
  • Accountable for physical storage of all business, auditory, compliance records including Perpetual Physical Inventory count sheets
  • To manage and control accurate stock and inventory reporting, ensuring executive systems are maintained and business demands are completed.
  • Ensures Pick List is accurate to meet production requirements and subsequently the issuing of material is completed within business SLA
  • Ensures packaging is completed in accordance with work instructions and meets quality requirements
  • Responsible for booking transport requests and liaising with security / police as required.

Essential Skills:

  • Essential to this semi-skilled role are good interpersonal skills and the ability to demonstrate flexibility, perseverance, and initiative/self-motivation to meet the demands encountered in an operations facility.
  • The ability to work as part of a team and provide support to other team members as and when required to perform a range of tasks is essential.
  • Positive Can-Do attitude but be able to work within the process framework provided.

Advantageous Skills:

  • Driving license essential
  • SAP Warehouse / Inventory Management transactional experience
  • Good Knowledge Microsoft Office tools Excel/ Outlook/ Word

To work for the Rolls-Royce Submarines Business an individual has to hold a Security Check (SC) clearance without any caveats to that clearance. Rolls-Royce will support the application for Security Clearance if the individual does not currently already have this in place.

Due to the nature of work the Business conducts and the protection of certain assets a person has to be a UK national or in MoD approved cases a Dual National from a non ITAR country.
