Job Role: Logistics Operative
Location: Halifax
Salary: £10.82 per hour
XCL Group are currently recruiting for a Logistics Operative for a manufacturing client based in Halifax, West Yorkshire. Main purpose of the role would be to ensure the correct materials are supplied to the correct areas in a timely manner.
Duties may include but not limited to:
- Feeding raw materials into machines
- Manual lifting
- Use of the FLT (Counterbalance and/or VNA)
- Organising and ensuring goods are sorted in a timely manner in the correct areas and is accurately accounted for.
- Keep the warehouse organised and clean.
- To comply with 5S standards.
- Flexibility to work in all areas and assist team members
- Undergo additional training as and when required
- Abide to all health and safety standards at all times including wearing the correct PPE
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- A Valid FLT (Counterbalance)
- Ability to get to and from the company during unsociable hours
Preferred Skills
- Good English both verbally and written
- Organised
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Any relating qualifications/certificates
- Understanding of 5s
- Time Management
Hours of Work:
- 6am - 2pm/ 2pm - 10pm Monday – Thursday
- 6am - 12pm / 12pm – 6am Friday
You may also be required to work 12 hour shifts at times should the companies Annualised Hours gets invoked. Overtime is available as and when also depending on the company’s requirements.
Pay:
£10.82 per hour – Starting Rate
