Job Title: Logistics Operative
Trust Location: Nottingham University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust
Location: Queens Medical Centre
Payrate: £10.42 per hour plus enhanced pay for weekends and bank holidays
Hours: 37.5 hours per week
Shifts: 05.45 - 13.45 (Monday to Friday with occasional weekend work)

This is a Temporary Role
Your duties will include:
- Ensuring all the hospitals entrances are kept clean and free from debris, including the removal of all types of waste materials i.e., cardboard, glass, clinical and confidential waste, and sharps.
- Responsible for the movement of some patient notes across site, as well as the delivery of Trust mail to all wards and departments for Trust business including patients own personal mail.
- Assist with the deliveries of patient’s meal trolleys and stores deliveries across the Trust including adhoc linen requests and the collection of dirty instruments from wards and departments which need to be returned to Sterile Services for re-issue.
- Collect soiled linen from all wards and departments and deliver to the designated storage areas for later collection by Transport.
- Collect clean linen from the designated storage areas and deliver to all wards and departments including the emergency adhoc linen requests. Put all items in the linen cupboards in a neat and tidy manner.
- Undertake specific site cleaning both internally and externally as directed by the Team Leaders, wearing appropriate protective equipment where necessary.
The role will involve, but not be limited to you performing the above.
Skills required:
- A basic knowledge of Health & Safety
- Good communication skills, verbal and written, and basic computer literacy.
- Attention to detail and a desire to deliver a high-quality service.
- Required to be physically fit as there may be times where heavy lifting.
