Title of Position: Logistics Operative
Reports To: Logistics and Warehouse Manager/ Supervisor (under review)
Scope: Organising and actioning the shipping of customer orders.
The Logistics Operative’s main responsibility is to facilitate the picking, packing, shipping, and documentation activities across the site infrastructure, primarily export, whilst encompassing all necessary procedures involved in processing customer orders.
Aim of the role:
Accurate consolidation of picking, packing and documentation, including but not limited to: -
- Efficient and timely preparation of DGN and other documentation in order to ship products on the required date.
- Timely picking, packing, and transport booking to ensure goods are shipped at the required time.
- Follow the agreed production and shipping plans and timely escalation of any issues to Management.
- Ensure that ERP system (E1) functionality is understood and followed, identifying all pick & pack details and is updated in a timely manner.
- Liaise with planning team, to forecast demands, load configurations and with Customer Service for any specific customer’s requirement.
- Liaise and discuss any issues, plan constraints and proposed resolutions.
Essential Skills & Experience Required:
- DGN certification (Road, Sea and Air).
- Experience of a quality and customer focussed warehousing & despatch environment.
- Good self-organisation and communication skills, as well as working to set priorities.
- Ability to work under time-based deadlines and on one’s own, therefore demonstrating self-awareness, integrity, and emotional intelligence.
General requirements:
- Health and Safety awareness, understanding and application, maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Demonstrate the highest standards of work practices to the role, ensuring the application of company policy and procedures and any relevant legislation.
- Demonstrate clear understanding and adherence to organisational objectives.
- Good level of working knowledge of MS-Office software and ERP system usage, ideally E1

Pay: £23,000.00-£28,000.00 per year
