Logistics Manager, TAG Heuer UK & Ireland. Based in Walkden, Manchester

We are looking for a Logistics Manager to work in our Shared Service Centre team alongside the other Operations teams to deliver logistics objectives across the business. You will report to the Finance & Operations Director and work closely with all departments and brands to deliver the UK business strategy. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to join a leading luxury brand:

You will be responsible for:

Logistics Operations Management

  • Coordinate Logistics operations: Inward and outward flows for all brand finished products, products in after-sales, equipment and supplies for all departments, and marketing items (display, props, etc.)
  • Warehouse and Storage Management
  • Coordinate communication with internal and external stakeholders on Logistics topics.
  • Ensure the integrity of stock levels in the warehouse
  • Develop, track and support refining key operating performance metrics related to warehouse and transportation performances
  • Maintain relationships with the insurers
  • Work closely with the Facility Manager to ensure our premises are suitable for the logistics operation needs (capacity, layout and security)
  • Anticipate and plan Logistics organisation and sizing to sustain the future growth of the business and bring Logistics to the next level
  • Manage customs topics alongside with the Finance Manager to ensure compliance of imports (mainly from Switzerland) and exports (mainly to Ireland).

Team Development

  • Share and communicate local Logistics vision and strategy to the team (around 10 people)
  • Set challenging and achievable objectives and roadmap to the team members
  • Coordinate and handle resources (identify potential, mobility to come and jobs rotation opportunities)
  • Recruit, animate, motivate, train, and develop team and potential to guarantee efficiency

Vendor management

  • Ensure the brokers and transportation vendors are meeting their SLAs regarding timely performance, lead-time, cost and sustainability
  • Push vendors to innovate and follow up on improvement action plans
  • Lead all aspects of tenders
  • Find opportunities of potential savings and challenge vendor billing


Profile

About You:

  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain or equivalent education
  • Extensive experience in Logistics, Supply Chain or Operations in Luxury or Retail environment
  • Strong team management experience
  • Good written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
  • Comfortable with changing priorities and ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Able to follow-up and give status updates on open issues and tasks
  • Highly adaptable and flexible to accept new ideas, people and procedures
  • Highly organised and detail oriented
  • Experience in vendor management
  • Strong quantitative analytical skills
  • Commercial awareness and pragmatic approach
