Kane Group are an established, and successful multi-disciplinary building-services solution contractor, head office based in Banbridge, Northern Ireland. We're an innovative, forward-thinking company with continued steady growth serving residential, hospitality, education, commercial and healthcare sectors with offices in Northern Ireland, London, Glasgow and the Republic of Ireland. We are actively seeking a Logistics Manager to be responsible for the effective and efficient management of the Logistics function within sites and ensuring the timely delivery and distribution of materials. This role is based in the Woking area.
Key Responsibilities
- Ordering day to day M&E materials that have been omitted from bulk orders
- Calling off material from delivery schedules
- Arranging deliveries with the management contractor’s logistics team
- Checking POD once deliveries have been made and upload to iPad.
- Updating and modifying delivery schedules
- Communicating the M&E construction managers on site
- Communicating with M&E buyer at head office
- Managing the M&E store operatives
- Attending logistics meeting with main contractor and other Trade Subcontractor to review and update procedures
- Communicating with M&E suppliers to resolve any issues with deliveries and book in further deliveries
- Any other associated duties
Skills Knowledge and Expertise
Qualifications Essential
Min. 5 GCSE passes including Maths and English (or equivalent)
Experience & Knowledge
Essential
Previous experience on construction site managing M&E stores
Proficient in MS Office computer packages specifically MS Excel and MS Word
Desirable
At least three years’ experience in a similar role

Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritise own workload. Developed problem solving skills, including the ability to manage conflicting work demands
Capacity to work independently with limited supervision
Demonstrates a strong customer orientation
Possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to liaise and advise staff at all levels

Good communication skills, both written and verbal with good presentation and interpersonal skills
To be flexible and work as part of a team
Able to work under pressure and meet short deadlines
Must be very ‘hands on’ with can do attitude
