Your Role:
As Logistics Expert, you will report to the Materials Manager working alongside the logistics specialist, material handlers and test article receipt team. Within this role you will be responsible for the coordination and execution of intersite (UK) and international shipments. The role will involve handling of a variety of temperature-controlled materials and biological samples. You will collaborate with vendors to plan shipping routes of materials, preparation of routine logistics and transport documentation, respond to customs clearance requests, support permit requests and ensure electronic inventory systems are fully updated throughout the day.

Who You Are:
- Industry qualification at diploma level+ is desirable (CILT, supply chain and logistics or similar)
- Previous experience within a logistics/shipping environment is essential
- Proficient in the use of electronic inventory management systems, knowledge of SAP/ERP.
- Previous experience in handling of biological or pharmaceutical material would be advantageous.
- Working knowledge in shipping dangerous goods.
- Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, both verbally and in writing.
- Ability to execute tasks at a high level of speed and accuracy.
- Familiarity with commodity codes and incoterms.
