Paragon Logistics Group is seeking a highly motivated and hardworking Logistics Coordinator to join our 24-hour operation. In this dynamic role, you will be responsible for efficiently planning, routing, and coordinating between customer inquiries and drivers to ensure the highest level of service delivery. You will be required to be always available to take calls and handle any necessary task diversions. Schedule:

  • Weekend availability is mandatory, and a rotating schedule will be provided for on-call duties.
  • Given our round-the-clock delivery operations, the ideal candidate should be consistently reachable via their phone to assist drivers and client queries.
  • Primary working hours are from 12 pm to 7 pm (it is essential to have access to a computer during these hours). Mobile phone availability can suffice for tasks outside of this timeframe when necessary.

Responsibilities:

  • Develop efficient transportation plans for contracted routes.
  • Coordinate delivery schedules and manage driver assignments.
  • Log issues and schedule repairs for the fleet
  • Stay updated with transportation regulations and ensure compliance.
  • Communicate with customers to understand their transportation requirements.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and identify areas for improvement.
  • Identify opportunities to optimise transportation processes.
  • Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and generate reports.

Requirements:

  • Good knowledge of transport and logistics operations
  • Basic understanding of Large Goods Vehicles
  • Familiarity with working in a fast-paced, time-sensitive environment and ability to work under pressure.
  • Organised with good IT skills.
  • Excellent organisational and multitasking skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Knowledge of transportation regulations and compliance requirements
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Patient and well spoken

Compensation:

  • Commencing at a rate of £12.50 per hour as a self-employed individual, with an expected commitment of approximately 35 hours per week during the initial 3-month probationary phase, equating to a weekly income of £437.50.

Successful completion of the probation period will lead to a full-time employment offer, with an annual salary of £24,050.
