POSITION SCOPE

• Co-ordinates the order to cash process, with the aim of delighting the customer.
• Liaises with supply chain department colleagues to ensure on time and in full delivery to customers.
• Supports commercial and finance department colleagues with supply chain related enquiries, complaint responses and information requests.
• Plans and executes stocks movements timely and efficiently to ensure availability, sustainability and cost targets are achieved.
• Ensures accurate inventory control at external warehouses through active management of inventory errors and schedule book-to-book activities.
• Co-ordinates with 3rd party logistics and warehousing partners to ensure priorities are well communicated and achieved.
• Follows up with internal and external stakeholders to ensure daily tasks are completed in line with expectations, to ensure current delivery statuses are reflected in the TMS.
• Accurately processes supply chain invoices on time to meet the company’s payment obligations.
• Continuous improvement within the role, to elevate overall supply chain performance.

DETAILED ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES

• Consults with supply planning, logistics and Thames warehousing colleagues to plan and execute stock movements in line with agreed customer call off, ensuring on time and in full targets are met.
• Communicate challenges with customer consignments quickly and directly, with a clear plan of action to support.
• Ensure accurate inventory holding at external warehouse, to enable seamless flow of EDI transactions.
• Complete monthly book-to-book to highlight and address stock discrepancies.
• Manage resolutions for damaged and slow moving / obsolete stock.
• Register customer complaints through the SAP CRM system.
• Validate customer order submissions (POs/EDI transmissions)
• Receive, record, validate and track warehouse costs for external warehouse.
• Receive, check, and process warehouse and transport invoices.
• Update finance systems with throughput information to support month-end process.
• Calculate accruals for warehouse and transport costs to support month-end and year-end processes.
• Problem solves loading delays or concerns with internal and external stakeholders.
• Actively engage in process improvement activities to deliver enhanced performance and cost savings for the business.

• Proven supply chain problem solving skills, taking logical actions to relieve constraints or bottlenecks.
• SAP or computer literacy, good Excel skills, Analytical skills
• Detailed knowledge of the company’s products and internal processes
• Effective task management and a collaborative, team player
• An ability to learn quickly and work effectively with people at all levels of the organisation.
