Logistics Coordinator

Salary – £28k to £30k DOE

MSX are the leading UK specialists in bonded warehouse services and distribution for the travel retail industry. Based in Southampton, they pride themselves on their dedicated transport fleet and state of the art facilities offering their customers a full service from import to final delivery.
They are now searching for a Logistics Coordinator to join their team and plan, co-ordinate and oversee the shipping of goods from point of picking to point of delivery. The successful candidate will have high attention to detail with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Logistics Coordinator, the role:
· Arranging efficient delivery routes and dispatching drivers
· Ensuring the vehicles kept to pre-set standards and are legally compliant
· Managing driver compliance for Working Time Directive
· Monitoring drivers and vehicle locations using GPS
· Ensuring goods are delivered on time and undamaged
· Collaborating with colleagues to find improvements in the efficient transportation process
· Effectively use the relevant Transport Management System
· Aid with full compliance with transportation regulations
· Perform quality control checks for full compliance
Logistics Coordinator, the person:
· Previous experience of working within logistics or distribution industry
· Working knowledge of the transport and logistics industry
· Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations
· Highly motivated with a continuous improvement mindset
· Keen to embrace and drive change
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Good time management and problem-solving abilities
· Experience of working as a Transport Coordinator (desirable)
