An opportunity has arisen to join the our team, based at Berwick Upon Tweed. We are looking for a Logistics Coordinator to join us on a permanent full-time basis.

Our Logistics Coordinators are an integral part of our business as they ensure the delivery and collection of products that meet the customer’s specification and timescales. The role involves working with key internal stakeholders, our external customers, and our transport network. Attention to detail, time management, and strong organisational skills are essential for this role.

Ideal candidate

  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Flexible approach to work and managing changing priorities
  • An effective team player taking a share of team responsibilities, being supportive of others
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills with a good eye for detail and professional phone manner
  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Experience of meeting multiple deadlines in a very time sensitive environment.
  • Experience of a fast-moving Transport environment is preferred however, if you are keen to learn and have the transferred skills, we would be happy to develop your transport skills
  • Self-motivated and tenacious
  • Must hold a UK driving licence

The role – Key responsibilities

  • Arranging the collection of bulk materials and delivery within timescales requested by the customer
  • Communication of all delivery confirmations to the customer
  • Working closely with the company national fleet
  • Provide support cover when required within the existing Forwarding Team
  • Communication of logistical issues to peers/ suppliers/customers
  • Communication with haulage contractors
