About this role and the impact you will have:
We're looking for an exceptional Logistics Coordinator to join our fast-growing team at Cazoo, helping to transform the way people buy used cars and making buying a car no different to buying any other product online today.
You will initially be working in an ever-growing team including Planners and Allocators as well as alongside the existing Logistics Coordinators, reporting to the Distribution Manager. With the responsibility to ensure that all purchased vehicles are collected from suppliers and delivered to our Refurbishment Centre, as well as ensuring that all vehicles we sell are delivered via multi-car transporters to the relevant regional hub within SLA using a combination of our own fleet and 3rd party carriers.
For purchased vehicles, this will mean closely monitoring the number of vehicles purchased through the day and ensuring they have been allocated to our preferred suppliers and that their status is monitored until they safely arrive at the correct refurbishment centre.
Similarly, for sold vehicles, you will be working closely with our refurbishment centre colleagues to have the correct vehicles available to load build in suitable priority order to make their designated trunking route and to arrive at the correct regional hub in time to meet the delivery slot that has been selected by our Customer.
Regular audit checks at each stage through the process will also be a requirement to ensure that we can fully account for all vehicles in the system.
You will be someone that enjoys working in a fast-paced environment with a hands-on attitude and at heart with a data-driven mindset, sharing fresh ideas for how to apply best practices to improve efficiency by reducing operating costs while increasing productivity.
We are fully operational 7 days a week. This means some weekends will be worked.
What you will be doing:
- Ensuring that all purchased vehicles are collected and delivered safely and within agreed rates and SLA's on a daily basis.
- Ensure that all sold vehicles are allocated and delivered safely and in a timely manner (to SLA) to the relevant regional hub.
- Monitor supplier performance closely and address with the Transport Manager any underperforming suppliers.
- Load building for multi-car carriers using in-house system (own fleet and 3rd party partners).
- Day-to-day management of own fleet drivers.
- Through trending volumes of purchases and sold vehicles ensure that there is enough capacity available to meet our ongoing requirements.
- Carrying out daily stock checks at the main points through the process to be able to identify any potential issues, and bottlenecks i.e. purchased vehicles waiting to be picked up (allocated or not yet allocated), purchased vehicles in transit, Purchased vehicles arrived at the Refurbishment centre. Sold vehicles at the Refurbishment centre either awaiting allocation or allocated to linehaul, sold vehicles in transit, sold vehicles at the hub (inc number of days), as well as for Returned and Part Exchanged vehicles.
We're looking for some with:
- Experience working with automotive transport suppliers and coordinating movements of vehicles across multiple locations.
- Strong experience with multi-car transporters and their capabilities.
- Excellent communication skills to enable you to get the job done.
- Problem solver; likes a challenge.
- Experience operating in highly customer-centric businesses.
- Experience working in a high-volume, fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in monitoring and managing multiple KPI's.
- Proven ability to analyse data and interpret the information effectively to continuously improve performance.
- Highly proficient in all Microsoft Office applications and have a strong ability to adapt to new systems.

- Shift Pattern: 4 on, 4 off - 6am to 6pm
