Logistics Co-Ordinator

We are now recruiting Logistics Co-Ordinators to join us permanently, supporting our major construction programme, based out of our office in Warrington and assigned to our construction sites for the duration of their works.
Job purpose:
Control, coordination, and provision of logistic activities that underpin and assure large civil construction developments. This includes movement of personnel, materiel, and equipment, either within the construction site or to the construction location. The work environment is subject to significant regulatory requirements which are additional to prevailing UK construction and logistic/transport compliance requirements.
The Amentum workplace is delivery and team oriented and is conducted on a cooperative and structured basis. Together we provide a range of expert disciplines and outcomes (we do the right things) that meet our client expectation.
As mentioned, our logistics activities are about establishing and coordinating the movement, accommodation and receiving of materials and people, with all their supporting documentation and evidence (i.e., notifications, certifications, validation) – from source - to where needed - when needed.
Description
Our logistics Co-Ordinators will work alongside project engineering, procurement, and assurance colleagues as well as the client and external providers (suppliers).
In-line with the client’s requirement and associated construction schedule or programme, our logistics coordinators will define, agree, and engage all necessary logistics that will deliver the expected outcomes.
Our logistics coordinators will primarily bring a consistent and considered approach to our project delivery and will have the capacity to:
Assimilate client/project requirement and supplier delivery systems
Maintain delivery schedules/receiving and protocols
Take care of and communicate all notifications and supporting documentation
Develop and articulate plans and ideas
Identify statutory (and client) logistic/regulatory requirements and achieve compliance
Embed and evidence the above in our logistic supply and documentation process
Solicit the cooperation of colleagues and others in defining and meeting outcomes
Our current major construction works are located in West Berkshire (which is where you would be assigned). It is foreseen our logistics management strategy may mean a need to provide a presence at central offices (Warrington) and other supplier locations to assure successful provision of our logistic activities. In some instances, we are obligated to ensure any person working directly with our client is both security-cleared and suitably qualified and experienced.
Qualifications and experience
Construction (or other) logistics, supply-chain, or project management qualifications.
A demonstrated level of training (relevant post-education technical certification or membership of related bodies).
Employment and experience pertaining to the organisation and delivery of civil constructions (or comparable infrastructures) and their related logistic activities.
Experience of working in the defence or nuclear industry.
The following is a list of work areas which, with demonstrated experience of, would enhance suitability.
Managing contracts with suppliers
Working with procurement managers, suppliers and customers
Planning and overseeing incoming and outgoing deliveries
Overseeing logistic, warehouse and transport services
Knowledge and use of industry regulations, site rules and company policies
Transport and installation of production line plant and equipment
Special moves in the UK infrastructure
Military Logistics
Building/civil construction sequence and associated logistic planning
Resolving complaints and issues regarding the supply chain
Maintaining customer service logs and safety records
Production of Logistics plans
Successful applicant must be eligible to hold a SC level of security clearance.
