If so, Osborne Appointments are currently looking to recruit a Logistics Assistant to join our clients Logistics team based in St Albans and be responsible for organising and monitoring storage and distribution of goods.
Our client is looking for an individual that has a proactive mindset, strong communicator, highly organised and looking to learn and develop on the job - full training provided of course!
- Monday to Friday - 09:00am to 5:00pm - 37.5 hour week
- Weekly Pay - £12.31 an hour
- Temporary to Permanent opportunity
- Free on-site parking
Start Date: Immediately
Logistics Assistant - Responsibilities:
- Managing deliveries and liaising with carriers.
- Processing stock orders each week to maintain suitable stock levels.
- Raising purchase orders and communicating with suppliers, internationally and locally.
- Completing stock checks and communicating with the warehouse team daily.
- To attend all weekly logistics meetings.
- To ensure all cost prices are accurate and up to date
- Contribute to the creation and implementation of best practice logistics vision, strategy, policies, processes, and procedures to aid and improve operational performance
Logistics Assistant - Skills and Experience:
- Self-motivated, flexible and works well under pressure
- Proficient in the use of Excel
- Attention to detail
- Excellent communicator
- Excellent organisational/prioritisation ability
