Cory Brothers are absolutely delighted to be recruiting for a Logistics Assistant for our office in Southampton.
This is a brilliant opportunity for someone who has some experience in the shipping industry and is looking to expand on this experience and learn and grow further. We are open to different levels of experience, and salary will be dependent on the level of experience and skills the relevant person has and can offer within the role.
This role could either be a junior or more senior position depending on applicants and their level of experience.

The Role:
- Dealing with administrative duties in supporting the team, including inputting data and jobs, preparing files, setting up vessels and dealing with charges accordingly (this list is non-exhaustive).
- Dealing with both the import and export of products including cars, motorhomes and machinery.
- Dealing with customer enquiries and providing an exceptional customer service, ensuring all needs and requests are met.
- Contacting customers by telephone and ensuring all emails are managed and responded to in a prompt manner.
- Using shipping software including Destin8, CNS, CDS and multi-freight the Cory Brothers in-house system.
The Person:
- Previous experience within the shipping industry
- Strong communication skills with the ability to network effectively and build/maintain effective working relationships
- Strong administrative skills
- Conflict management skills, and the ability to work under pressure
- Reliable, hardworking, punctual and presentable at all times
- Experience within a logistics based similar role (desirable)
