Job description
Leading beauty and fragrance distributor seeks experienced Logistics and Operations Manager to join our growing team. The primary focus of this role is to ensure the accuracy of all inventories, the associated flow of goods, and to ensure it is accurately reflected in all internal systems.
This role would suit someone with a good understanding of global transport routes, customs procedures, and international trade. Ideally with beauty brand experience or FMCG brands, working with multiple retailers, 3rd party warehousing and international distribution, goods in and out, across the entire process.
Responsibilities:
Raising Purchase Orders and Customer Sales Orders in Sage
Liaising with our 3PL to ensure customer orders are processed in a timely manner and delivered on time
Monitoring deliveries to customer and ensuring invoices are processed on time
Direct communication with customers from order confirmation to delivery/shipment
Working with our external logistics providers to improve the flow of goods, making sure the relevant transactions are logged correctly in our systems. Management of all in bound deliveries ensuring these are processed accurately and in a timely manner with any discrepancies raised and followed up
Completion and checks of all paperwork
Effective management of out of stocks
Plan and lead execution of year-end inventory counts with our 3PL, actioning any corrective actions identified and liaising with the Head of Finance to ensure the correct adjustments are made in a timely manner and signed off in line with company policy.
Monitoring warehouse stock rotation and implementing corrective actions and process changes, when required.
Monitor closely inventory levels with recommended improvements and changes for slow-moving and obsolete inventories to maximise revenues and minimise losses
Ensure the write off process for products comply with company policy and procedure, whilst limiting and reducing loss for the business is managed effectively and any flags are raised to the Head of Finance.
Ensure completion of transfers and recalls are processed in a timely and accurate manner, limiting, and reducing loss for the business
Carrying out any other tasks that can reasonably be expected to fall under the remit of this role, as requested by management.
Candidate Requirements:
- Confident, approachable, and self-motivated
- Previous experience using Sage (desired but not essential)
- Able to work well in a team and independently
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Well organized and a self-starter
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- A keen eye for detail

Salary: £30,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
