Job description

Job duties and responsibility:

  • Adept at driving a forklift
  • Securing inventory items in warehouse
  • Tracking and monitoring inventory movement and inventory levels
  • Packaging, shipping and receiving precision equipment
  • Processing freight arrangements for outgoing shipments based on the Customer’s requested freight carrier and level of service by following the company’s standard operating procedure for shipping based on the Customer’s shipping guidelines or shipment instructions noted on their PO including but not limited to international shipping requirements, weight, and priority level and shipping rates.
  • Examine and sort contents of shipping and receiving materials. Compare to records, such as manifests, invoices, or purchase orders to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipments
  • Recommend shipping methods for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates
  • Process RMA’s including receiving, unpackaging inspecting, photographing and moving product to the Clean room for evaluation and recommended repair
  • Inspect, photograph and package RMA’s for shipment to Japan if Overhaul is recommended by Rorze Automation and approved by Customer
  • Inspect, photograph and package RMA’s for return shipment to the customer including the completion of all related documentation.
  • Prepare documents, such as, but not limited to:

· Pick lists

· Stamped marked receivers

· Bills of ladings

· Packing lists

· Shipping orders to route materials

· IRR Reports (incoming Receiving Report)

· Various Other Documentation as assigned

  • Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies
  • Pack, seal, label, and affix proper shipping labels for shipping
  • Contact freight forwarders to schedule transportation arrangements or pick-ups
  • Issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials
  • Generate incoming inspection reports for any visible shipping damage
  • Record shipment discrepancies
  • Determine proper storage methods, identification, and stock location based on turnover, environmental factors, and physical capabilities of facilities
  • Mark stock items using identification tags, labels or permanent marker
  • Prepare and maintain records and reports of inventories, shortages, shipments, and goods used or issued
  • Receive and count stock items and record data in ERP/MRP system
  • Store items in an organized and accessible manner in warehouse
  • Identify and report damaged, scrap or discrepant material
  • Investigate discrepancies and adjust variance errors
  • Expedite delivery of goods when necessary
  • Maintain an accurate physical Inventory Control system (including MRP system)
  • Manage the efficiency of the Shipping & Receiving activities
  • Other duties as assigned

Required job skills:

  • Detail-Oriented, keep accurate inventory and documentation
  • Display good teamwork, flexibility and initiative
  • Proficient verbal and written communication skills in English. Chinese language skills a plus.
  • Interface with different departments, vendors and customers in a professional manner
  • Proficient in using Microsoft Word, Excel, and ERP/MRP programs
  • Experience with MRP software is desirable
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize various duties and work within competing deadlines
  • Time management skills
  • Ability to analyze and review shipping/receiving documents
  • Able to work long hours and/or weekends from time to time based on operational needs
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organize warehouse & Shipping/Receiving area
  • Chinese speaking ability a plus

Educational Qualifications and professional experience:

  • 1-4 years of Shipping/ Receiving/ Warehouse Inventory Maintenance and storage
  • Forklift Operator experience and certification is plus
