We are looking for an individual with experience of working within logistics to join the Transport and Warehouse team within the Global Planning and Logistics Function within Diageo. The Logistics Analyst role sits within the Transport and Warehouse team within the Global Planning and Logistics Function within Diageo.
About this role
As Logistics Analyst you will be responsible for ensure that all stock is warehoused in the most efficient and cost-effective manner - managing inventory levels and challenging the planning teams as appropriate.
You will be responsible for:
- You will be responsible for building relationships with 3PL warehousing teams and ensuring Diageo standards are adopted, implemented and maintained.
- You’ll driving performance through awareness of KPIs, process improvement and maximising overall network efficiencies.
- You will be expected to deliver efficiencies by ensuring that unnecessary movement of stock is avoided and be able demonstrate achievements in this area.
- You will be expected to manage warehouse capacities in line with planned and forecasted production volumes
- The successful candidate will also be expected to undertake training in warehouse planning, inventory control, imports management and stock management aspects of the role.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Ideally you will have experience within a logistics and warehousing function.
- You will have good working knowledge of SAP and excel packages.
- It is essential that you have good analytical skills and ability to plan effectively both in terms of own workload and warehouse capacity.
- Ideally you will have awareness of HMRC legislation and CARM.
