Job description

About The Role

AO Tech’s project management team is responsible for the successful planning and delivery of a substantial portfolio of software development, IT infrastructure and third-party integration projects (to name but a few!).

Maintaining a collective oversight of the work we are responsible for, the resource needs to deliver those projects, and helping the exec make key decisions about what new projects to start or stop is a vital part of our function. This is where you come in.

Here's What You Can Expect To Be Doing

  • Manage the Project Prioritisation Process. Producing information for the CEO, CFO and Group Tech Director to select new projects.
  • Updating the Tech Capacity Plan and Portfolio Plan: documents that are vital in resource planning, project scheduling, and reporting of forecast vs. actual project costs and benefits.
  • Publish the weekly Tech Portfolio Status Report to AO’s management team to provide a snapshot of the health and progress of all live and upcoming projects .
  • Drive the continuous improvement of AO’s Project Delivery Lifecycle. Forming feedback loops from the PM team, delivery teams and project sponsors, and formulating action plans for improvement.

A Few Things About You

  • Previous experience of working within a project portfolio.
  • Confident in challenging up and down a company org structure.
  • Great self-organisation and time management.
  • Exceptionally high standards in the digital and physical visualisation and presentation of information.
