WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
We're looking for an experienced Localization Project Manager to join the Growth Program Management & Strategic Operations (GPSO) team at Braze. This EMEA based role will work cross functionally, and globally, to support business critical localization needs. You will be responsible for delivering and maintaining projects efficiently from start to finish.
As the EMEA Localization Project Manager you will own core product and marketing asset translation coordination, as well as partner with stakeholders on technical integrations with our translation management platform and various engineering groups. You will work with virtually every department at Braze including Sales, Product Marketing, Training and Enablement, Product Management, Engineering, Support, and others to collaborate and promote globalization and localization best-practices and strategy rollout.
In addition, you will help to manage a burgeoning localization process by participating in everyday tasks such as meeting with regional stakeholders to identify language/localization nuance , and updating localization playbook processes. Communicating regularly with key stakeholders will be required, as well as managing relationships and deliverables with localization vendors. You will play a critical role in delivering on an ambitious localization program roadmap to support your assigned regions at Braze.
Finally, you will report to the Localization Program Manager to ensure that impactful project and business decisions are made. You will be responsible for managing, leading, and meeting your targeted project goals and OKRs which will be created and reviewed quarterly. These will be measured against the localization program metrics, objectives, and results to ensure strategic alignment across the business.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Coordinate, lead and manage top priority localization projects in your focused regions and locales as Braze expands our global footprint
- Work with the newly formed Braze Go-To-Market team on strategic expansion efforts to weave into our overarching localization strategy
- Help to build modern and innovative localization processes from start to finish by working on playbooks, maintaining style guides and glossaries for your assigned regions and locales
- Collaborate and build out Translation Management System (TMS) workflows by documenting regional team and project level nuances
- Ensure on-time delivery of localization projects and integrations for required releases by working directly with localization vendors and stakeholders such as Product, Sales and GTM
- Ensure best-in-class linguistic and functional quality by tracking and reporting on key metrics per project across your supported regions
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement within localization at Braze
WHAT YOU HAVE
- An experienced localization project manager, ideally within the SaaS or tech industry, with 5+ years of experience
- First-rate project management skills, including the ability to balance multiple, sometimes competing, priorities with tight timelines
- Firm grasp of and ability to communicate risk management scenarios
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to target communications up, down, and across the organization and to external partners
- Bonus if you can speak multiple languages, or are Localization PM certified, PMP or CAPM certified
- You have strong communication, collaboration, organization, and persuasion skills, specifically in multi-matrixed organizations with competing priorities
- Systems thinking and a strong sense of ownership to drive complex projects with interdependencies
- Direct experience managing both Product and Marketing localization projects
- Understanding of Translation Management System tools and machine translation strategies for optimization
