Care to work in a place where 77% of our staff told us it’s a great place to work and 93% of staff told us their actions are guided by L&Q Living’s values (Great Places to Work survey 2022)

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Locality Manager at Beverley Lewis House in East London.

Beverley Lewis House is the only scheme in the country that provides high quality person-centred support service to 6 women with learning disabilities who are fleeing domestic abuse. It recently appeared on Channel 4’s Dispatches show Trapped, Disabled and Abused as an example of good practice. This documentary is still available to watch on Channel 4 demand. Why don’t you take a look? It might help you decide if you want to apply for this post. The scheme also won the UK Housing Award and National Women in Housing Award for Best Specialist Housing category and is part of a service rated Outstanding by CQC.

Having such an excellent reputation, means we are looking for a special kind of person to take over from the existing Locality Manager who is leaving because her new home makes working in London unrealistic. This is what she said about her time at Beverley Lewis House.

Working at Beverley Lewis House for the past 5 and a half years has been one of the most rewarding and proud highlights of my career. Supported and encouraged to promote and develop the service, engaging with other organisations to raise awareness of issues related to domestic abuse and learning disabilities has meant being involved in some outstanding pieces of work. From having the opportunity to feed into the revision of the domestic abuse bill, to hosting our own conference to share good practice. L&Q Living provided a safe and supportive space for me to explore ideas and make positive changes. Mostly I have loved working with such amazing and resilient survivors of abuse in such a caring and nurturing setting.

92% of our staff said their manager treats them with respect and 91% of staff told us their work has special meaning and that it’s not just a job (Great Places to Work survey 2022)
