Are you an experienced campaigner with a proven track record of awareness raising in local communities? Can you influence and inform professionals on how to respond to child abuse and neglect? If the answer is “Yes, yes, yes” we want to hear from you.

As part of the NSPCC's commitment to work towards ending cruelty, our Services Directorate creates a one-stop shop for all adults and professionals through which they can both access and receive advice support and safeguarding information and feel confident that by contacting the NSPCC to discuss concerns about individual children action will be taken to protect that child. The Local Campaigns team aims to raise awareness of the nature, extent, and impact of child abuse and our response to it with all audiences. This may be through a locally developed campaign with partner organisations or a national NSPCC campaign that is delivered in a devolved nation.

It's vital that national campaigns are informed by and tested with audiences that they seek to reach and influence. An example of this is the Look, Say, Sing, Play, campaign that both the national and local campaigns team collaborated on to develop, test and roll out. The team's ability and flexibility to be able to respond to local safeguarding needs is a real strength and facet of the work that's particularly welcomed by statutory and voluntary partners, local funders' and communities alike. Local campaigns have a strong focus on awareness raising and behaviour change and again, are always delivered in partnership.

As Local Campaigns Manager, you will lead a number of projects to develop our local campaigning work with new innovative and targeted activities to reach out, engage and communicate with adults, children and young people, and professional audiences to influence the general public, parents, young people and professional networks.

To this end, we are looking for someone who is highly organised and solution-focused. As a team player, you will work in partnership with both local NSPCC services and other locally-based organisations. You are someone who is proactive, persistent, and thrives on managing a varied and busy workload; you will be happy to work outside of your locality on occasions and willing to travel.

In return, we will offer you the experience of working in a well-established charity that sets high standards and expectations on improving the lives of children, a variety of rewards and benefits including generous annual leave, employee benefits and assistance programme, pension and life assurance schemes.

Join us and you'll become part of a team that cares about the work they do and the people they work with. You'll discover opportunities to grow, along with challenges and a shared purpose that'll bring the best out in you. And you'll get to find your own way to make a difference that means more, and that impacts millions of young lives.
