AJ100-listed practice, Hyphen is looking for an architect or technologist to run projects and support project work in cities such as Birmingham, Sheffield, Leeds, Manchester, Liverpool and Newcastle upon Tyne.

The role
You’ll be engaged on a major client account, supporting our office-based project teams by providing local architectural support on projects in a variety of commercial sectors including logistics, retail, hospitality and data centres. Your work will typically include:
- Site surveys and audits
- Design, drawing and specification production (RIBA work stages 1 to 5)
- Site visits, reports and contract administration (subject to suitable qualification) (RIBA work stage 6)
You’ll spend most of your time on-site or working from home whilst being part of a friendly and supportive team and working with senior colleagues.
To keep you connected you’ll need to attend our London office at least once a month (for which travel expenses will be paid) and you’ll also be given the opportunity to collaborate with colleagues from Hyphen’s offices across Europe and Latin America.
Your skills and experience
- Ability, initiative and experience to work independently whilst part of a remote team
- Proficient user of AutoCAD and Revit
- Excellent English language, written and spoken
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office 365
- Good working knowledge of UK construction practice, JCT contract administration and the geography of the Midlands and the north of England.
- Proximity to cities in the Midlands or north of England.
- Permanent residency and right to work in the UK.
