About the Trust
Oxford University Hospitals (OUH) is a world-renowned centre of clinical excellence and one of the largest NHS teaching trusts in the UK. What you’ll be responsible for:
· Ensure accurate and comprehensive patient records and clinical details including outpatient referrals are added onto EPR in a timely manner, according to agreed standards, (the Trusts’ Elective Access Policy and Data Quality).
· Book appointments on EPR as per Trust procedures in line with the Trusts Elective Access Policy and ensure all referrals are clinically triaged within 48 hours.
· To receive and make telephone calls and take appropriate action/discussion with appropriate staff maintaining a friendly, professional and courteous manner at all times. These conversations can often be of a distressing nature.
· Maintaining filing system and other basic office duties.
You’ll learn the following whilst working at the trust:
1. An in depth understanding of the roles and responsibilities involved in working within the NHS
2. Knowledge of the systems used, to effectively complete your role to the highest standard at all times
3. A sense of teamwork, gained through working alongside and supporting colleagues from all levels, within the organisation
You’ll have the following skills/experience:
· Excellent communication skills- both verbal and written
· Microsoft office skills- Outlook, Word, and Excel
· Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure
· Excellent diary maintenance scheduling skills
· Excellent understanding of medical terminology
· Previous NHS experience (desirable)
· EPR & Netcall knowledge (desirable)

- Assist the Chief Financial Officer in managing financial operations and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and policies.
- Prepare financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Conduct financial analysis and provide recommendations for improvement.
- Assist in the development and implementation of financial strategies and initiatives.
- Coordinate with other departments to gather financial data and ensure accuracy.
- Support the CFO in overseeing accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and tax filings.
- Manage financial records and documentation.
- Perform general administrative tasks as needed.
Experience:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Proven experience in a similar role, preferably as an Assistant Chief Financial Officer or in a senior finance position.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles and practices.
- Proficiency in using financial software and tools, such as QuickBooks.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
Note: Experience as a medical receptionist, dental receptionist, transcriber, customer support representative, order entry clerk, personal assistant, or project coordinator may be considered relevant for this position.
