Job description
The University seeks to appoint a Student Administration Officer on a Full Time (35 Hour) permanent basis.
Reporting to the Student Administration Manager, you will be responsible for maintaining the accuracy of student records and managing processes associated with our programme provision. You will work closely with other Student Administrative Officers to ensure consistency; develop knowledge and expertise in the student records system (SITS) and our assessment processes; and support the work of Academic Services across all administrative areas as required.
Additionally, you will provide support for a variety of University committees, panels and task groups related to student administration. You will also work closely with staff responsible for maintaining the accuracy of the Postgraduate Research student record. You will work closely with other teams within the Directorate and wider University to ensure that a quality service is provided, and you will have opportunities to further enhance the administrative effectiveness and efficiency of our processes.
The role requires excellent organisational and administrative skills, and good speaking and listening skills. You will be communicating with students and staff in a variety of roles across the University. A knowledge of Higher Education processes and procedures is essential.
