About UK Credit
UK Credit is entering an exciting new phase of its growth, as a direct lender of unsecured loans to homeowners. We have over 10 years of experience in providing loans to those who struggle to obtain credit through high street lenders, perhaps due to a poor or thin credit history. We pride ourselves on being a responsible lender, completing thorough affordability checks on each application before approval.
The role of an Loan Underwriter
The Underwriting Team is responsible for processing all new loan applications received by the business.
A pivotal function of any lending function is assessing the affordability and sustainability of a proposed loan, in addition to ensuring that the customer is made fully aware of the features, benefits and costs of the proposed agreement.
You will be predominately talking to customers over the telephone (never face-to-face) and using other methods of correspondence to manage multiple applications at any one time. In addition, you will be serving brokers / introducers who pass customers to UK Credit.
As part of the application process you will be required to review and assess information provided by credit reference agencies and interrogate banking data supplied by the customer, using all of the information available to you, to decide whether or not to fund the loan.
Full training will be provided.
