UniTrust Protection Services (UK) Ltd have an exciting opportunity available for a Loading bay Security Officer to join our team. The role would involve you being trained on a number of sites across our London portfolio. In return, you will receive highly competitive hourly rates subject to the sites you will work across.

Hourly rate: £11.25
Rostered Hours: Monday to Friday 60 Hours

Responsibilities
Deliver outstanding customer service to staff and visitors
Take an active interest in, and give commitment to the client and tenants
Ensure that the environment and service is truly excellent and beyond expectation
Promote the client, tenants other service providers positively to all you come in to contact with, throughout the customer journey
Be flexible and adaptable to all tasks or challenges
Be highly presentable, accountable; take responsibility and ownership for any tasks identified or allocated
Ensure all contact, be it internal or external; by telephone, face to face or any other medium; is clear, courteous, polite, professional and respectful
Appropriate use of access control and any other electronic management system, and completion of reports and documentation in a timely fashion
Be familiar with all Security and Emergency procedures on site and assist in the facilitation of their safe execution and practice.
Embrace and deliver the bespoke training requirements, specific to contractual obligation or regulation
Completion of rostered duties and all associated tasks or responsibilities to the highest possible standard
Ensure that all Health and Safety and Environmental procedures are followed and do not undertake any activity which could breach the SIA or other relevant regulations
To act with integrity and in the best interests of the company in a safe, compliant and ethical manner
To be resilient to working in the most sensitive environments, dealing with any conflict with a respectful and empathic approach at all times

Loading Bay Specific Duties
Act as communication point to confirm access
Indicate and manage delivery/drop off locations
Manage email communication to the addressee’s to inform them of the delivery
Maintain an incoming record sheet of all deliveries for audit
Secure Loading Bay Security at all times
Ensure access routes are and that all Fire Point’s and emergency exit routes remain clear.
Security Specific Duties
Ensuring that no unauthorised persons are permitted in prohibited areas
Check identity and credentials of staff, contractors and visitors where required
Early identification and mitigation of any threats to persons, premises or property, escalating where appropriate to do so
Have an outstanding knowledge of the premises (inside and external) and able to assist staff, clients, tenants and visitors with their queries
Direct all deliveries as required (to the Loading Bay)
Respond to alarms
Record details of any suspected criminal activity on the premises (internal and external); commencing investigative procedures prior to onward reporting where necessary.

Demonstrate an awareness of security threats which remain relevant and up to date in the context of the current environment
Flexibility in regard to working practices, hours and responsibilities.
Either a current and valid SIA license OR with a view to obtaining an SIA licence if not already held.
First Aid at work or the ability to train and retain this qualification
Operation of CCTV/access control communications in an appropriate manner
Manual Handing trained
Desirable Skills:
Exposure to relevant Protective Security or Counter Terrorism Advice
Previous experience of the security industry and / or within the hospitality sector or corporate environment with a view to obtaining an SIA licence if not already held.
Previous experience in technologies to detect security threats in any given environment
