Job description
Refuse Loader roles available working AM shifts, for a Local Authority Waste Service just outside Cambridge. The depot has good transport links, free parking onsite, ongoing work available with set shifts!!
Hours & Shifts :
Monday – Thursday 6am-2pm (0600-1400)
Friday – 6am-1.30pm (0600-1330)
Pay Rate: £12.37 per hour
As Refuse Loader you will be undertaking any of the following duties:
Work as a team led by the driver
Ensure that refuse rounds are completed on the day within specified timescales
Assist the driver in preparing the vehicle for the day
Operative machinery in strict accordance with instructions and training
Undertake assisted collections as required including returning bins to the designated point
Ensure that Health and Safety compliant PPE is used at all times
Other duties may be required such as litter picking, collecting fly tipping, general yard duties and wheelie bin deliveries/ collections
We are really keen to hear from applicants with the following:
Experience preferably in Waste Collection as a Refuse Loader although full training will be given
Loading and unloading experience ideally
Experience of working to targets
Physically fit and able to stand for long periods of time
Excellent attention to detail
