Lloyds Underwriting Assistant. To £32,000
Some exposure to the Lloyd’s insurance market is essential for this career opportunity with an expanding Lloyd’s underwriters. A graduate level of education would be preferred although strong A levels would be considered.
Duties
To capture and process risk data on the underwriting data entry system, ensuring that such data is accurate and up-to-date;
To record, report and manage accurate aggregate data for binding authorities, open market and lineslip declarations down to street address level for each risk written.
Maintenance of underwriting files;
The scanning of slips, endorsements and other relevant information onto the document management system;
Associated filing and archiving.
Management of binding authority contracts according to delegated underwriting compliance procedures.
Liaise externally with the broking community to ensure smooth operation of the above as needed;
The management of the underwriter’s diary for meetings and other appointments;
The taking of minutes for morning review meetings, as requested;
To manage the monthly Peer Review meeting, including the taking of minutes;
To provide cover for the underwriters at the Box in Lloyd’s as required, to carry out day to day administration in support of the underwriters;
Assistance with the coverholder audit scheduling process.
To assist in responding to queries from all members of staff on queries relating to the underwriting of the small property book;
To undertake ad hoc project work as required;
To be aware of the risks and controls relevant to the underwriting of the small property book and discuss/report any issues with small property underwriter.
To assist with all other aspects of underwriting for example technical pricing, book analysis, audits and analytics.
