Job description
The postholder will be responsible for ensuring the efficient administration of systems and processes across the Livestock department.
Use the in house booking system to acquire livestock bookings in line with site plans.
Ensure delivery paperwork is correct and accurate before accepting livestock.
Process livestock payments in line with site policy and process.
Support the unloading and penning of livestock.
Assist the Lairage team with the booking in of cattle and reading of ear tags.
Monitor and report any animal welfare concerns.
Assist in the monitoring of department KPIs and completion of PRC log for weekly improvement meetings.
Support departmental projects and update logs.
Maintain an accurate holiday and absence register of the Livestock Department.
Deal with telephone queries from Farmers.
Experience in a farming or agricultural background desired but not essential.
Must have excellent IT skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to delegate effectively when required.
Strong planning and organisational skills, demonstrating flexibility towards changing business demands.
Proactive, dynamic and motivational with the ability to deliver results in a fast paced, pressurised environment.
