Job description
We are urgently recruiting for a Live In Support Worker to provide support to a 39 year old male with a traumatic brain injury, following a road traffic accident.
The client is currently living in Ilford, with the prospect of moving to another location in the East London area, once suitable accommodation for the client and live in care team has been sought.
The role will include supporting the client with day to day tasks, accompanying him to places in the community or to activities he may wish to attend, monitoring progress and keeping documentation up to date, preparing meals, assisting with cleaning, and any other support required during his daily life. This role will predominantly be a personal assistant role prompting personal care, assessing and assisting with danger awareness, and prompting taking medication. Ultimately, you will be responsible for ensuring the client can live happily, and safely in their home whilst promoting independence.
Shift requirements
Before the successful candidate is working as a live in staff member, the package will start on an introduction basis, requiring you to attend the clients home 3 days per week for 5 to 6 hours per day. This will allow you, the client, and the family, to build a trusting relationship where you will be able to fully understand the clients needs. During this period, your travel will be paid for by Superior Healthcare.
Once the induction period is complete and the client has been allocated sufficient accommodation which is able to house a live in staff member, the rota will be in blocks of 24 hours which will be paid at a rate of £291.96. You will be required to work a minimum of 48 hours per week and 1 weekend in 4 therefore, flexibility is essential.

Requirements
- Previous experience of 3 months full time or 6 months part time in a professional care role within the UK.
- Someone who is reliable and responsible with an abundance of experience supporting clients with challenging behaviour.
