CANDIDATE MUST BE CROYDON BASED OR VERY CLOSE TO CROYDON
Experienced live in FEMALE carer required - Free bedroom with all bills included
We are looking for someone who finds caring for people with mental health and all its challenges, a vocation not just a job.
You will be caring for 2 adults in a supported living home, you will be required to help the adults in making their breakfast, lunch, dinner, laundry and daily household duties.
The residents can be very challenging, aggressive and abusive, you must have experience in dealing with with these situations to settle the residents and get to the bottom of why they are feeling angry or upset. Residents may sneak in alcohol into the property or try to smoke in their bedroom so you must be able to overcome these situations as per the house rules policy this is forbidden and advise them they can smoke in the garden and no alcohol is allowed in the property or even in the garden.
The home has a cleaner that comes twice a week but you will be required at times to clean up after residents as they are not able to always do a hygienic clean, this could be from hoovering, mopping, assisting in changing bed sheets, re-organising bedrooms etc. The candidate would ideally be passionate about cleaning.
An ENHANCED DBS is a must!
You will be required to write care plans, write up risk assessments, fill out incident reports and send an end of day report for each resident. The ideal candidate will have great computer skills and will be advanced on Microsoft Word.
