Hours - approx.: Live in – 7 days on / 7 days off

Start Date: End of May / Beginning of June 2023

Pay rate: £150 per day & Student support @ £10 per hour.

Location: Southampton (SO1 1XA)

About our client

Our client is 22 years old and is currently studying Sports Management at Southampton Solent University. He has a diagnosis of Cerebral Palsy, which primarily affects his mobility but also makes it difficult for him to do day to day tasks. He mainly uses a wheelchair to get around but is able to walk short distances with sticks.

Our client is an avid sports fan, and currently participates in Wheelchair tennis and is hoping to get back into Wheelchair football too. He is also a big foodie and enjoys listening to music and attending concerts.

As written by him…

“I'm a very passionate sports fan, especially for Football and Tennis, however to be perfectly honest, I would watch any sport apart from Darts and Golf. I am also a big foodie, so it would be ideal if my P.A was a good chef. I play wheelchair tennis and used to play wheelchair football and would like to get back into this. Ideally, my P.A should be energetic and up for new experiences.

I want to be as independent as is realistically possible in my University life. I can sometimes lapse into taking help when it is available even when I don’t absolutely need it - usually because I want to save time. So my carer needs to give me time and encouragement to carry on doing tasks that I can do - even if I need help with some aspects of most daily tasks.”

About the job

This is a fantastic opportunity to truly make a positive difference to somebody else’s life whilst helping to assist our client to achieve his goals and aspirations.

5.6 weeks holiday pro rata.
