Full Time London, England 35000 - 50000 GBP ANNUAL Today
Job description

Location: Central London

Contract: Full-time, Permanent

Salary: £30,000 - £45,000 per annum, depending on experience

Status: Live-in or out

Start Date: September 2023

We have a brilliant opportunity for an experienced full-time Live-in Housekeeper for an UHNW family based in their home in Central London. The family is looking to permanently appoint an experienced and dedicated team player to join an existing housekeeping team.

A busy family home and fully staffed household, our clients are looking for someone who has exacting standards, a keen eye for detail and is able to work autonomously, as well as within a team. An expert in all household cleaning and laundry, you will need to have excellent knowledge of cleaning products and know how to care for fine fabrics and finishes. You will be working in a team with 4 other housekeepers so being a team player with a positive ‘can-do’ attitude and a professional and discreet demeanour is important. Prior experience within a high-net-worth household is essential, and any prior experience in formal service would be beneficial as well.

This is a busy and fairly formal household so you should be comfortable in this setting. We are looking for candidates who are happy to muck in wherever needed, hit the ground running and embrace the hardworking nature of the existing team.

You should be comfortable around dogs, as the family have recently adopted a lovely golden doodle puppy. You will be required to walk, feed and look after the puppy as part of your daily duties.

Working five days per week, including over weekends, you will work in a shift pattern with the other housekeepers. The Thursday-Saturday working hours are typically 10am-7pm and the Sunday-Monday working hours are typically 7am-4pm.

If you choose to live-in accommodation will be offered on-site in a private en-suite double bedroom. If you choose to live out you will be required to live in for two nights on Saturday and Sunday.

DUTIES TO INCLUDE BUT NOT LIMITED TO:

· Pet care including walking and feeding a new puppy

· Cleaning including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing beds, cleaning bathrooms and kitchen

· Laundry and wardrobe management, including caring for fine fabrics and ironing

· Packing and unpacking for the principals

· Polishing silver and glassware

· Flower arranging

ESSENTIAL CRITERIA:

· Prior housekeeping experience within a private household

· Fluency in spoken English

· Eligibility to work in the UK

· A hardworking, dedicated team player

· High attention to detail and exacting standards

· Flexibility with hours and duties

· Able to work independently

· Trustworthy and reliable

· Excellent checkable references
