Join Home Instead – Surrey and West Sussex Live-in placement register for 2023.
Home Instead - Woking are looking for kind and compassionate Live-in Carers to join their register to help make the best possible client to live-in matches in the Guildford and Woking area.
Are you a live in who wishes to work in between your permanent placement breaks, maybe you’re looking for adhoc work or, looking to be a bank living looking to cover emergency placements at short notice?

What do we offer our live-in carers?
- Employment as a PAYE employee - The added bonus of being employed is; we sort out and pay your National Insurance and tax, during your breaks, any holiday accrued in your ‘holiday pot’ is paid, should you be sick for more than 3 days, you should be entitled to SSP, you can opt in / out of our pension scheme after 3 months, you will be entitled to our discount portal and ESP
- Minimum short-term placements of one week through to long term and permanent placement.
- Out of hours support
- Ongoing support and training
- Paid monthly at the rate of £120 -£135 per day (depending on complexity of client(s) during placements
- Either, 3 meals a day provided by the client or, £7 a day food allowance (paid monthly)
- Reasonable reimbursements of travel to your first placement and final journey home
- Live-in roles across the Surrey and West Sussex area
Home Instead Senior Care Live in requirements:
- Completion of our application form including professional and personal references for pre-placement checks and, completion our online training prior to starting placement
- A minimum of one year’s experience in Live in
- Strong communication skills and the right to work within the UK
- An enhanced DBS check, ideally an update service DBS
- Smartphone with internet access
- Full UK driving licence and access to your own car preferred but, not essential
What does being a Home Instead Live in carer involve?
- Helping clients with their everyday daily tasks
- Supporting administration of medication
- Assisting / supporting personal care needs
- Manage different medical conditions such as Parkinson’s, MS and dementia
- Household duties such as, but not limited to; cooking, cleaning, laundry and general running of the house
- Ensure the physical and emotional well-being of the client is met
- Be a reassuring presence
- Provide companionship led care
