J2K Recruitment is working with a client to appoint an experience live in carer. The live in carer role entails the following:
- Preparing and cooking meals whilst maintaining cleanliness of home
- Live in Carer will be providing companionship and supportive listening
- Helping or supervising client washing, dressing, grooming, and toileting
- Supporting client with their personal care and medication administering
- Helping client with their mobility in order to get around their home
- Running errands such as food shopping or picking up prescriptions
- Accompanying and transporting clients to appointments and/or social events.
- Reporting client progress and any concerns to Home Care Manager
Skills & Qualifications
- Understanding of geriatric health, mobility issues and nursing best practices
- Problem-solving and efficient decision making, especially in emergency situations.
- Strong verbal communication skills, including active listening, to determine client needs and deliver progress reports.
- Organisation, multi-tasking and scheduling
- Interpersonal skills, including relationship management, conflict management and willingness to access constructive feedback
- Strong navigation and driving skills
- Live in Carer must competent domestic skills, including cooking and cleaning.
Must Have:
- In date DBS and be on the DBS up-date system
- Right to work & remain in the UK
